"Hope is the sustenance of the family"

During the program, there were two special guests: Father Elie Chamoun and Sister Randa Kortas (Salesian sister). In his lectures, Father Elie took those present on a deep reflection on family formation. He compared the life journey of families to the journey of the people of Israel from Egypt, led by Moses.

Just like the people at that time, families were able to experience that God is still close today, even in the midst of life's challenges. His image of the tent of the Lord in the midst of the people became a call to make room for God's presence in one's own family and home.

The weekend was characterized by a warm atmosphere of faith and togetherness. There was a separate program for children and teenagers, with catechesis lessons about dreams, living water, and the story of the Samaritan woman. In a playful and profound way, they learned that God also wants to fill their lives with hope and joy.

In addition, Sister Randa led a creative workshop based on the logo of the Holy Year, “Pilgrims of Hope.

Each family was allowed to decorate their own candle with this logo, as a symbol that hope and faith are carried forward in daily life. The weekend was characterized by a warm atmosphere of faith and togetherness.

Families shared their stories, prayed and celebrated together, and rediscovered that hope is truly the strength and nourishment of every family.
